Brand Identity
Allison, the founder of Brand Camp, helps people become less afraid of sharing their story – because every story deserves to be told.
She wanted a brand that was bright and optimistic. Inspired by retro motifs, but not too retro. I think we nailed it, I’m really proud of how complete this visual identity feels.
This logo was inspired by Antiques Roadshow. No lie! One night in January, while we were kicking off the project, I was watching a woman showcase this incredible Janis Joplin poster on Antiques Roadshow.
I absolutely loved that poster (below). The perfectly quirky letters, all contained in their own rectangular boundary. So I pitched the idea to Allison. We both really liked it, and several versions later it evolved into the Brand Camp logo.
So maybe it’s okay to watch late-night Antiques Roadshow. Just do what feels right.
From Allison’s insta:
“Justin has a way of building brand concepts that makes it feel like the business has always been there.”
That was music to my ears because that’s what I love. Timeless, established style.
